Mengo

Mengo is a short score-attack action game set in an icy maze. You control a blue cube character, defeat enemies, and clear each stage by finding every egg hidden under the ice.

Ice blocks are more than obstacles. Kick them across the floor and they become weapons that can knock out several enemies at once. Reading enemy movement, reshaping the board, and setting up high-scoring plays are the heart of the game. Line up three special star blocks for a large bonus.

Stages include enemies that chase the player, enemies that wander freely, and enemies that break ice as they move. As time passes they become more aggressive, and the final enemy tries to run away, so even short runs keep changing.

The controls are simple: move and kick. The depth comes from how you use ice and lure enemies. It is quick to play and built for one-more-try score chasing.

Move the character up, down, left, and right with the D-pad, left stick, or arrow keys. Press the confirm or attack button while facing an ice block to push it in that direction.

Sliding ice blocks defeat enemies in their path. When enemies get close, hit them with ice, stun them near a wall, step on stunned enemies, or attack adjacent enemies. Touching an enemy directly ends the game.

Defeat every enemy and reveal all eggs hidden under the ice to clear the stage. If you have room to plan ahead, line up three star blocks to trigger a high-score bonus.

After downloading, extract the ZIP file and run Pengo.exe in the folder. Select START on the title screen to begin.
